Theft!!!
On the night of Sat 25 Oct, three valuable bicycles were stolen by thieves from [Lucy's] garage in Coventry. Two of them are particularly distinctive, being top of the range Cannondales from about 9 years ago. Here are some summary descriptions:
1998 Cannondale Racing bike:
bright red Tour de France bike,
1999 Cannondale mountain bike:
large tubed carbon fibre Y-frame (black),
2008 Pinnacle racing bike: (photo is of 2009 model I think)
compact black frame, size small, with adjustable handlebar stem
at the time of the theft, the bike was missing the front tyre cap and the left handlebar cap. It also had labels etc still attached as not had it for very long.
All bikes are in excellent condition. The theft has been reported to the police at Little Park Street (crime ref: 20MI / 10095 / 08). Think it highly likely that the bikes’ components may be sold separately as the bikes themselves, being rare and distinctive, would doubtless attract attention.
Measures taken to recover the bikes are listed below. any other suggestions most welcome!
Could [Lucy] make a special request of our triathlete colleagues to be particularly alert for any sightings, and possibly mention around their clubs?
