There a few club members - 13 at the last count - over on www.fetcheveryone.com now....

Nathan has been adding club running routes to the site... and it's full of lots of other stuff - training logs, route planners etc that can be really handy....

go and have a look.... beware.... it's slightly addictive

I've found it really useful, especially all the calculations/comparisons/trends that are done automatically. Also, its a place where lots of stuff can be stored and made available to everyone, such as the training runs. But you are right about it being addictive. I've drawn the line at entering details of the food I eat and the training shoes I've worn on each run, however!

ahhhhh, but you see, if you record the shoes you've run on each run it gives you a nice little log of how many miles each pair has done, so you know when they're getting to the end of their life.... that's if the knees haven't told you first...

(and we're up to 14 on there now! - people not miles....)

 Isn't it great when people start publishing annual rankings so early in the year?

If you ran the New Year 5, go to http://www.athleticsdata.co.uk and see if you've got a UK ranking. They've not picked up all the results (I'm guessing they just check in Athletics Weekly), but Paul Kelly and Loretto are leading their age groups, Howard is 6th in his and I'm 33rd overall.

Best get Mr. Andrew to sign up for Fetch if we want to hang on to top spot!

Better be quick as I can't see myself there for long. All together now (in the style of Al Murray singing Queen) "We are the champions, we are the .... etc". And relax.
